The 'new recipe' jars of Bisto Best do not say Gluten free on it now.  Does anyone know if the food labeling has just changed to 'Contains xxxx' format now and you are safe to assume this confirms there is no gluten?

Ann:-)

Hi, just checked my most recent jar, and yes you are right, it no longer says gluten free - however the new food labelling law requires any allergens (a list of many that includes gluten) must be indicated if it contains them - therfore it is safe to assume that it is gluten free.I also had a quich check of the ingredients and its OK - I am training to be a dietitian as well as being a coeliac myself - and I still find labelling confusing !

Hope this helps.
