People diagnosed with coeliac disease need to follow a healthy balanced diet the same as everyone else but need to incorporate gluten free products where necessary. The basis of a healthy diet are plenty of fruit and vegetables (about one third of your daily intake) plenty of carbohydrate foods (about another third) be scrupulous about choosing gluten free versions, but don't let this put you off having them. Then moderate amounts of low fat dairy products and lean or low fat protein foods. This with plenty of water, a low salt intake and regular exercise is the key to good health.
