Can anyone explain why the UK follows the old Codex standards of 200ppm gluten = gluten free?

I get ill when I eat many supposed GF products with codex certified wheat starches etc. and Austrailia and Canada both have 'no detectable gluten' as their definition..

This makes eating specialist GF foods a lottery for me.

Dear Steve

Your gut may be very sensitive to tiny traces of gluten and when you eat too many of these products together or over a short period of time, you are taking in too much. You need to choose products that are completely free from gluten to avoid damaging your gut and making yourself ill. Always check out labels and food manufacturers information.
