Hi Chris,

I travel abroad and take DS gluten and wheat-free bread with me on the plane.

Are there any special instructions whether or not I should take it into the cabin as hand luggage or is it OK to put in the suitcase in the hold?

Regards

Janet

Hi Janet

Good to hear from you.

You can take the Dietary Specials bread abroad either as hand luggae or in the hold. We have done both as a family when flying to Spain on holiday, my wife packed the Dietary Specials Sweet Breakfast rolls and the Brown MultiGrain loaf both stayed intact and did not blow.

Additionally Dietary Specials foods are available in soem European countries: Italy, Germany, Austria. if you need more details please ask.

just a tip ... obviously hte bags are not designed to be flown at 35,000 feet but if chris says they hold then that's good news.

Personally I'd make sure they are well packed in...  then if the packet does rupture it won't be messy and you can still eat  the bread.

My problem tends to be that the GF bread is always a bit crumbly...  and hence tends to fall apart when treated badly...

Usually I take packs of DS sweet breakfast rolls (because they can be eaten without refreshing) & never had problem with them either in flight bag or in suitcase in hold.
